Irish waitress gets $2500 tip by ‘guardian angel’ to fly home

Imelda Murphy Springer who's been living and working in Illinois has been given the tip of a lifetime.

The Ballinrobe native hasn't made it home to Mayo in over five years, but now thanks to the kindness of an anonymous stranger she's $2500 richer. Imelda spends her days working as a waitress at Nick's Pizza & Pub, it was here that her friend and colleague Kim sat her down to deliver the good news.   A mystery tipper left a card with a handwritten letter saying she hoped it "helps her get back to Ballinrobe in 2017" It's believe Imelda served the generous customer and her family a few years back, and obviously she made a lasting impression. It seems it pays to be nice to people after all.
