A recent survey has revealed that a quarter of Irish children have seen unsafe content online.
The study was conducted across 25 countries and included some 25,000 people. One thousand of these were Irish according to online reports today.
Not only had over 10% of children aged nine to 16 seen images of a sexual nature on the internet but over 20% of teenagers aged 14 to 16 had come across websites that promoted anorexia.
