There may have been a secret romance on The Apprentice

The candidates have responded to the rumours.

The Apprentice is heading into the final next week with Courtney Wood and Alana Spencer going head to head to become Lord Sugar's next business partner. Courtney has a novelty gift shop, while Alana has a cake company. In the midst of all this, some rumoured romances among the candidates have come to light. People think Jessica Cunningham and Courtney Wood are an item and also Irish woman Grainne McCoy and Paul Sullivan. Grainne and Jessica were fired from the show last night so they were able to speak with press and clear up any rumours floating about. Jessica told Digital Spy:

"Oh, don't believe everything you read in the papers unless it comes from the horse's mouth! You'll have to ask Courtney on that one… but no, we're just good friends."

Meanwhile, Grainne also shot down the romance speculation saying:

"I did hear one or two rumours myself! Obviously they're going to pinpoint the four single people in the house, me and Paul being two of them. We got on really, really well, we all hung out and watched movies and stuff, but romances?"
