This has never happened before.

The X Factor vote was cancelled last night, after the show was hit by a pretty bad technical fault during Danny Tetley’s performance.

Danny was performing Queen’s Who Wants To Live Forever when an error occurred that made his voice sound robotic.

A message appeared on screen saying to viewers, “we are sorry for the temporary interference in sound”.

The decision was then made to cancel the Saturday night vote, which was met with mixed responses.

The technical issue began at around 9.15pm, and went on for more than 10 minutes.

An ITV spokesperson said:

“We apologise for the technical issue that affected the sound on part of tonight’s episode of The X Factor. We are investigating why this happened. “

“We can confirm tonight’s public vote has been cancelled and will instead open in tomorrow night’s show at 8.30pm on ITV.”

Basically, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite contestants tonight.

That is, assuming the sound issue has been fixed…
