The Summer I Turned Pretty is coming to an end

After three seasons, the Prime Video series is set to come to an end in just a few weeks.

Fans have been tuning in in their millions to watch Belly's coming-of-age story.

This season has been mainly focused on Belly and Jeremiah's wedding and the fallout after Conrad revealed he was still in love with her.

In the latest episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty, we see Belly fly to Paris after calling off her wedding to Jeremiah.

The student runs away from the mess in Cousins and decides Paris is the place for her to be.

However, many fans were left disappointed in the episode, with many claiming it was boring.

One wrote, "Episode 9 for the summer I turned pretty wasn’t for me. It was short & boring in my honest opinion."

"Episode 9 of the summer I turned pretty is such a waste of time. Do they know we don’t have 5 seasons?" one added.

Although episode nine was slower than usual, I felt like it was an essential episode.

Belly finally got the chance to be her own person, and we finally got to see our protagonist not be weighed down in a scene by Jeremiah or Conrad.

It may not have been as dramatic as usual, but it was key to see Belly on her own.

This is her story after all, and I think the Last Call episode reminded us of that.

Belly is so much more than her romantic interests, and seeing her finally make it to Paris was comforting. Many of us millennial fans will remember the disappointment when Rachel didn't go to Paris because of Ross in Friends.

Belly's reason to go to Paris may not have been as happy as it should've been, but she got there in the end.

However, I am curious to see how creator Jenny Han will wrap up the show.

There are only two episodes left in the entire series, but will we get the ending we're hoping for?

We'll just have to wait and see.
