“I want to be the best.”
The competition is set to heat up in RTÉ this autumn as Ray D’Arcy and Ryan Tubridy will be going head-to-head for ratings.
D’Arcy, who moved back to RTÉ earlier this year, revealed that he is ready to take on The Late Late Show and the challenge of the prime time Saturday evening slot.
Ray is looking forward to the challenge.
Although they stated there wouldn’t be a war of the chatshows, Tubridy admitted: “I want to be the best and I’m going to try to be the best.”
Meanwhile, 50-year-old D’Arcy who will kick off a new show on Saturday nights stated: “In [the media] world, I suppose Ryan and I will be competing, but for now, I don’t feel we are – although I am competitive.”
The new schedule was launched this week.
“I think my competitive edge will come out sometime in February, it will be all nice up until then and then it will get competitive,” he added.
Hmm… We’ve a feeling things are about to get pretty interesting!
