My Super Sweet Sixteen is coming back to MTV but with a new twist

Our favourite MTV show is coming back.

Before the days of Instagram, rich young teens used the MTV show to showcase just how rich and fabulous (and bratty) they were. We watched one girl fly to Paris to get the perfect dress, only to come back empty-handed, another girl got her braces removed just for the night of her party, and another had Pitbull as the performer long before we knew who he was. Now, our beloved Super Sweet Sixteen is returning as were intrigued to see what the modern day bratty teen demands in 2017. But this time around, it's not just teenage birthday parties as debutante balls and even weddings are also on the list.

 “MTV cordially invites you to My Super Sweet…an extraordinary television event featuring the most important day of your life marked by the greatest of celebrations – Sweet Sixteen, Quinceanera, Debutante Ball, Debut, or any other coming of age milestone event — if it’s going to be lit, we want to know about it!” MTV said.

The casting call continues with what seems to be a grown man trying to be hip by using all the current trendy words.

“We want to showcase the most Instagram-enviable celebrations ever seen.”

“Snap the sweetest and most memorable moments of your life that’ll make all your Snapchat followers comment #goals when they see just how turnt your party gets!”

People who are interested in participating must be “the most popular, outrageous, glitzy, girl [or] boy” who are “planning extravagant parties that will show the world just how #blessed they really are!”

Applicants can be as young as 13 and they are basically looking for any sort of extravagant party that will make for great binge-watching.
