Stranger Things is returning for a fifth season

Netflix has finally confirmed that production of Stranger Things’ fifth season is now underway.

The cast and crew of the award-winning series is finally back together and we cannot wait to see what season five has in store for us.

Netflix confirmed the news by sharing a photo of the Stranger Things cast on X this week.

The image was captioned, “THIS IS A CODE RED. Stranger Things 5 production has officially begun.”

Actors Joe Keery, Millie Bobbie Brown, Sadie Sink, and Maya Hawke are featured in the photo.

David Harbour and Winona Ryder are also pictured in the cast photo.

The Duffer Brothers, the show’s creators, are also smiling along with the award-winning cast.

Fans were overjoyed by the announcement with many expressing their delight on X.

“It’s great to see it entering production. It’s been so long. Welcome back to the cast,” one said.

“It’s crazy how it’s ending, I remember binging the first season in one day,” one added.

As excited as fans were, many were quick to point out that the last season of Stranger Things likely won’t be released until 2025.

Some even believe we could be waiting until 2026 for the fifth season to air.

According to Forbes, the sci-fi thriller likely won’t be released until the end of 2024 at the earliest. If we’re being realistic, fans will most likely be tuning into new episodes of Stranger Things in 2025.

However, we’re just going to watch this space until new episodes land on the streaming service.

Hopefully, they’ll be worth the wait.
