September is coming to a close, reality TV shows like Strictly and X Factor are back in force and Graham Norton returns this weekend too – we might as well start the Christmas countdown here!
This weekend also marks the return of The Saturday Night Show, where Brendan O’Connor will again take the reigns.
The guest list for the first week back includes Mayor of Boston, Marty Walsh, who will join Brendan to talk about his Irish roots and being the first Irish-American Mayor of Boston in over 20 years.
Star of TV3’s Ireland Am Mark Cagney will be in to talk about life and what it’s like presenting Ireland’s popular breakfast show.
During the show Brendan will link-up live to Marty Morrissey and the winning team from the All-Ireland hurling final, set to take place tomorrow evening, to join in the team celebrations and get reactions from the players.
Three of the stars of RTE 2’s Connected will appear on the show also
Stars of RTE 2’s Connected series Venetia Quick, Nicole McQuillan and Kate McGrew will explain how they got involved in the series and what the reaction has been from their family and friends to the show.
Irish director Gary Shore will be dropping by to discuss his recent rise to fame with his hit debut feature film, Dracula Untold, plus there’s a performance from the highly acclaimed Sligo country-roots band Old Hannah.
