The folks over at Buzzfeed have pointed out a rather spooky scene from the first series which mirrors this storyline.
Redditor Saskatchewanbr noticed that in season 1 episode 2, Derek and Meredith are talking about a person in a coma and Derek says, "I have four sisters… If I were in a coma, they’d all be here. I’d want them here."
Was this a plan for future storylines or a just major coincidence?
