Snow Patrol have announced a massive Dublin gig for next month

Snow Patrol have announced a massive Dublin gig for next month.

The fully seated acoustic show will take place at The Olympia Theatre on January 15, 2020.

This will be fantastic news for Irish fans who missed the chance to see them last month, when the band were forced to cancel due to illness.

Tickets from €39.50 including booking and restoration levy go on sale this Friday December 20 at 9am.

Over a two-decade career, Snow Patrol has carved out a unique place for themselves. Since their 1998 debut, Songs for Polarbears, which Pitchfork hailed as “an impressive piece of work,” their melancholy anthems of heartbreak and separation have mended hearts.

The band has racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, 1+ billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy, BRIT Award and Mercury Music Prize nominated.

Snow Patrol’s latest release ‘Reworked’ is available now.

The news comes a few weeks after the band were forced to cancel their last gig at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.

The band had been due to bring their Reworked Tour to the city centre venue on November 26.

However, in a statement on social media that afternoon, they announced that they  were “gutted” to cancel the show. The band said the decision was made due to illness.

“So sorry to announce, due to illness, we have to cancel tonight’s show at the Olympia Theatre Dublin. Information on refunds will follow shortly,” they said on their official Twitter account.

“We are gutted & were so looking forward to Dublin but it’s just not possible to do the show tonight. See you all soon we promise. SP. x”
