Snakes or donuts? The internet is having a very hard time working it out

Twitter is very confused.

After one person shared a picture of their tasty donuts, the internet grew suspicious of whether or not they were actually donuts at all. The swirly creations have caused quite the debate online and have left people questioning their own eyesight thanks to the optical illusion. What do you see?
