The second season of Dirty John lands on Netflix next week and we’re already hooked.
Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story, which stars Christian Slater and Amanda Peet, recently finished airing in North America -- and will be landing on the streaming service just in time for next weekend (August 14, FYI).
"The show is based on an epic true tale of love gone wrong -- a story that spans the 1960s to the '80s, through the breakdown of a marriage that Oprah Winfrey deemed one of 'America’s messiest divorces' even before it ended in double homicide," USA Network teased about the series.
"Betty’s attempts to fight back and enraged refusals to accept reality only serve to isolate and destabilize her until she loses her very identity. And Dan’s cold confidence blinds him to the bear he has created, and won’t stop poking … until it’s too late."
The trailer for the series, which debuted earlier this year, shows Betty spray painting the wall inside her house.
"Divorce is the closest most people will come to war in their lives. And that is what war is -- who controls who. If you don't control them, they control you," she says in the voice over, before revealing that her husband is leaving her.
