Emily in Paris is back and better than ever

The series returned for its fourth season on Netflix last week and fans have been busy binge-watching the newest episodes.

The first five episodes are available on Netflix but fans have to wait until September for part two of season four.

As we wait for the season to continue, a lot of viewers have been making the same complaint about part one.

If you've not yet watched season four then stop reading as there are a lot of spoilers ahead.

One of the main storylines in Emily in Paris is her will-they/won't-they relationship with Gabriel. The French chef has been her main love interest since the early days of the show but the pair's love story has never worked out.

Emily then meets Alfie, the charming British businessman who is perfect for her, but she is still holding out for Gabriel.

Despite having a pretty perfect relationship with Alfie, the pair decide to call it quits this season after he realises she'll always put Gabriel first.

Alfie admits to Emily that he's sick of looking over his shoulder in their relationship, but later realises he's giving up the woman he loves.

Fans are fuming over Alfie and Emily's relationship

After finding out that Emily and Gabriel aren't together, Alfie shoots his shot again with Emily at the masquerade ball.

Unfortunately, it isn't meant to be as he confesses his love to someone in the same outfit as Emily.

He then sees her leave the party with Gabriel and fans are furious over her decision.

Many believed Emily should've chosen Alfie and moved on from her complicated and messy relationship with Gabriel.

One wrote: "Season 4 of Emily in Paris has me so angry. After being strung along for years by Gabriel, you just run to him and give up the best man in your life Alfie. I hope Gabriel breaks your heart again because you deserve that for how you treated Alfie."

"I will never forgive the writers of Emily in Paris for what they did to Alfie, free my boy," another wrote.

Another added: "Alfie deserves so much better I hope he gets the girl who loves him and doesn’t treat him as second choice. I would love to see him in a healthy relationship."
