This iconic 90s rom-com could be getting a sequel

My Best Friend's Wedding is the most underrated rom-com

It's got everything a good rom-com needs- a charming but slightly crazy protagonist, a musical number, and a lavish wedding that may not go ahead.

The film has the perfect plot with the most beautiful cast, but it isn't acknowledged half as much as it should be.

However, lead actress Julia Roberts is eager to reprise her role in the 90s rom-com.

She told presenter Andy Cohen that she'd love for there to be a My Best Friend's Wedding sequel.

"That's a really good question and I've never been asked it," the actress said.

Roberts confirmed that she would happily work on a sequel and even has a plot in mind.

She told CBS, "He's married and faithful to his wife. And George and Julianne start a do-it-yourself show on HGTV and become wildly famous."

Dermot Mulroney, who starred alongside Roberts in the film, told Entertainment Tonight that he's also interested.

"I'm thrilled to hear Julia's finally, you know, coming to her senses," he told the publication.

Mulroney continued: "You know I would love to work with her any day of the week, month or year."

Whether a sequel happens or not, knowing the cast loves and appreciates this movie as much as me makes me happy.

Now, if anyone needs me I'll be re-watching the 'I Say a Little Prayer' scene over and over again.
