The week may barely have begun, but thoughts at the national broadcaster have already turned to Friday night.
It seems the folks at RTÉ must be quite excited about this week’s Late Late Show as they have already released some of the names set to join Ryan on the couch this weekend. We have three names so far, but we have to admit it’s looking good.
One for Game of Thrones fans, Maisie Williams will appear to promote her new movie Gold. Seventeen-year-old Maisie shot to fame playing Arya Stark in the hit HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s novels. Season five of the show is currently being filmed.
Maisie joins Ryan while on the promo tour for Gold, “an offbeat comedy about an estranged father who returns to his hometown after an absence of ten years in order to reconnect with his daughter and ex-wife but unwittingly finds himself responsible for almost destroying all their lives”, co-starring James Nesbitt. Gold will be in Irish cinema’s next week.
Politician turned bookmaker turned broadcaster Ivan Yates will also appear on Friday night’s show.
The one that many may have been waiting for, however, is Ed Sheeran.
Hitmaker Sheeran, 23, released his second studio album x earlier this year, charting at number 1 in Ireland, the UK and the US. He also managed to pick up a Grammy nomination this year. Now, what are the chances Ryan will ask him about those Ellie Goulding rumours?
