On Rosie's 18th birthday, the pair kiss - but things go wrong and a miscommunication leads to Alex thinking Rosie simply wants stay BFFs.

Over the next few years, their lives begin to pull them in different directions - Alex heads across the Atlantic to go to university, while Rosie becomes a mum and works towards her dream of running her own home.
