Add us as a preferred source on Google »It's been over four years since Normal People aired and we fell in love with Connell Wardon and Marianne Sheridan all over again.
The series, based on the Sally Rooney novel, completely won everyone over during the first few weeks of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We were completely transfixed and absorbed in Connell and Marianne's complicated love story.
The limited series may not have been on the air for long but each of the 12 episodes captured the best-selling novel so perfectly.
So much so that fans have been begging for a second season of the show since it came to an end four years ago.
However, it is not looking likely.
Daisy Edgar Jones recently told Entertainment Tonight that there are no plans for a second season.
Her recent reunion with co-star Paul Mescal sparked rumours, but the actress stressed that there is no plan in place.
She told the publication: "No, there is no season two that I know of."
However she did say she would love to revisit the characters in the future.
"It was really special; I love those characters and that world.
"I would love to revisit where they are ten years later," she added.
So all hope is not lost just yet!
