Host Of Acts Announced For New Stage At This Year’s Body & Soul

There’s only a few weeks left to Body & Soul and another new stage has been added to the festival! The three-day event will take place at Ballinlough Castle in Co Westmeath from June 19th to 21st, with Leftfield, Flight Facilities and Super Furry Animals among this year's headliners. Curated by HomeBeat Events, new addition Tree Haus will bring together cutting edge contemporary Irish culture and music, from folk straight through to the glitching electronica of tomorrow’s stars. Alt-electro duo My Tribe Your Tribe brought their ethereal percussive aesthetic onto the Irish music scene in 2014 and haven’t looked back since. Carriages create a warmth and familiarity in their music using field recordings captured in and around Dublin City in parks, museums and coastlines around their hometown. The alternative brainchild of Michael Hopkins and Andrew Lloyd, Planet Parade released two EPs back to back in 2009 and 2010 and have supported acts such as Passion Pit and Wild Beasts. Pop melodies will be delivered from Australian-born Liza Flume whose second EP Morning Light revealed a strong emphasis on music production. Exciting new electronic outfit Buffalo Woman combine killer beats and hooks with dark melodicism and gothic lyrics. The bass heavy, synth sounds of Ghosts have often been described as haunting. The Tipperary natives released their debut 12” on Champion Sound Records in 2013. The songs of SlowPlaceLikeHome have charted his gradual progression and exploration of new musical creations across a broad electronic landscape and laid the foundations for his debut LP Romola, set for release in summer 2015. Drawing upon a dark brooding beauty over compellingly simple beats, Hilary Woods stepped out as a solo artist to unveil a sound that is infused with a beguiling song-craft. Other acts taking to the Tree Haus stage include Skelocrats, Little Xs For Eyes, Elephant, Hare Squead, Participant, I Have A Tribe, Nubus, Margie Lewis, SignA, Idiot Songs, Skelocrats, Tomorrows, Taste DJs, Somadrone, Lyttet, Leo Drezden and Lasertom.
