Wow.
Does anyone else spend a significant amount of time binge-watching Friends?
You’re not alone people.
15 years on from the final episode, and it is still as brilliant as ever.
And lads, the main cast of Friends still rake in the cash from re-runs of the show.
In their original contracts for season one, the six main stars were paid $22,500 an episode.
But by seasons nine and ten, their salaries had jumped to $1 MILLION an episode.
A very handsome raise.
Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Anniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc all now make 2 per cent of the syndication revenue the show makes from re-runs.
Warner Bros apparently rakes in almost $1 billion in revenue every year thanks to Friends.
Reportedly, the 2 percent of revenue clause was added during intense contract negotiations while the show was still airing every week.
This means that the 6 cast members make around $20 million a year from re-runs, despite the fact that the show ended 15 years ago.
In fact, they all earn more now from the show than they did all those years ago.
