We now have the first details about the return of the annual Irish TV favourite.
This year's Late Late Toy Show will feature two changes that viewers of past years won't be used to.
The first was announced earlier this month, when it was confirmed that the Toy Show won't be airing in November like usual, but will air on Friday, December 6th instead.
Some audience members may be disappointed to hear that the show is airing at a later date this winter, but having it air closer to Christmas is a great move in our eyes.
The second change, however, was only announced earlier today, with RTÉ confirming they're looking for 32 children from each county in Ireland to participate in the first Late Late Toy Show County Parade.
They said: "We’re looking for children who are passionate about their county – it’s not about being the best singer or the best dancer – it’s about having county pride in buckets.
"So, get your applications in, tell us why you love your county and you could be cheering for Clare, marching for Mayo, or freestyling for Fermanagh."
Late Late Show host, Patrick Kielty said: "The inaugural Toy Show County Parade sounds to me like it could be the best craic of the night – 32 counties, 32 kids, live in studio on the biggest TV night of the year.
"I mean what could possibly go wrong?"
In December, we'll see chaos erupt on the Late Late set as kids from around the country and Patrick Kielty spread the festive spirit.
There will be emotional reunions, malfunctioning toys, a questionable musical number or two, and something for everyone in the audience.
RTÉ has now opened applications for children to be part of the biggest show on Irish TV.
The Late Late Toy Show airs on Friday, December 6th on RTÉ 1.
The Holiday is one of the best Christmas movies I would watch The Holiday all year round if it was socially acceptable, but I try to keep my rewatches to December only. Jude Law is eager to return as Graham People may not agree with me, but The Holiday is my number one Christmas movie. The festive rom-com never fails to put a smile on my face, so rumours about a potential sequel felt like Christmas had come early. Rumours about a second installment have been circulating […]
