Let’s make this happen.
Yesterday we brought you the upsetting news that a remake of Home Alone is in the works.
Disney, which recently acquired the rights to that and a load of other films when it bought 20th Century Fox, is creating an updated version of the Christmas classic for “a new generation”.
People who grew up with the film weren’t exactly happy about it.

But amid all the shock and distress online, no-one asked Macauley Culkin how he’d feel about the reboot.
Well, he’s shared his reaction – and it’s perfect.
The now 38-year-old (yes, 38) was just ten when he became world famous as the star of the 1990 original.
Not only does he seem to be down for a remake, he’s also interested in starring in it.
He tweeted a photo of himself in his undies on the couch, eating pasta and scrolling on a laptop; very accurately showing what Home Alone would look like if its protagonist were grown up.

Replying to his own tweet, he then wrote “Hey @Disney, call me!”.
We second that.
Disney, stop messing around. Get on to Macauley and go make a reboot we’d actually be interested in seeing.
