Saturday… Strictly Come Dancing – BBC One (6.20pm) The first of the weekend’s shows during which the celebrities take to the floor with their professional dance partners. Results show is on Sunday at 7.20pm. The X Factor – UTV (8.00pm) Judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Louis Walsh and Mel B are in the process of picking their acts for the live shows. The Saturday Night Show – RTÉ One (9.40pm) Broadcaster Brendan O’Connor is back with his entertainment show during which he chats to a range of guests and gives away a variety of prizes. Sunday… Jaws – RTÉ Two (9.00pm) In Steven Spielberg’s thriller, a local police chief has the task of hunting a great white shark which has been terrorising his beach. Downton Abbey – UTV (9.00pm) This week, Lady Mary and Lord Gillingham are enjoying each other’s company and Branson receives a proposition. Love/Hate – RTÉ One (9.30pm) The crime drama is back and tonight sees tensions rise between Nidge and Fran. Meanwhile, Patrick is out for revenge.
