These images of a rather famous woman have re-emerged this week and we bet you haven't a clue who it is. She's now one of the most recognisable people in the world, but that wasn't always the case. These images were taken by Stane Jerko, a photographer from her native Slovenia, when she was just 16.

"I had to ask her to bring her own clothes to the studio," Jerko told Vice. "She didn't have much; She was just a high-school student. But she brought some outfits, she did her hair and make-up herself, and those first photos turned out fine."

Her career would take her to Paris and Milan before a US scout suggested she try to break into modelling in the US. She moved to New York City in 1996 and met Donald Trump in 1998. They eventually married in 2005 and the rest is history. Images: Stane Jerko
