Lauren Graham has opened up about the future of Gilmore Girls

Actress Lauren Graham has opened up about the future of Gilmore Girls.

The actress rose to fame after landing the role of Lorelai Gilmore in the dramedy in 2000.

It’s the show that made her a household name and one she proudly continues to talk about 25 years later.

Graham appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast this week and opened up about the future of the beloved series.

She told Alex Cooper that returning for the revival was a career highlight for her because it’s such a rare thing in her industry.

Fans of the show will know the Gilmore Girls revival ended on quite a cliffhanger, but are more episodes in the pipeline?

In the final scene, Rory and Lorelai are sitting under the gazebo and Lorelai’s daughter reveals she’s pregnant.

Speaking about the possibility of returning to our screens as Lorelai Gilmore, Graham said she believed there would be more episodes.

Will Gilmore Girls return?

Graham agreed that the ending of the revival left fans with even more questions, and she was under the impression that the show would return.

However, she’s always been hesitant to ask show creator Amy Sherman-Palladinoa about the future of Gilmore Girls.

“This is just my theory, but I do not know. There are questions I could get an answer to that I’ve never asked. It did feel like a cliffhanger and I do think it was.

“I think maybe the thought was that we’d go into another season then, but I’ve never asked, and I don’t know.”

Graham admitted she is scared to ask in case the show’s creators didn’t want to continue working on it or Netflix felt like it wasn’t worthy of a second season.

“I don’t want to see behind the curtain. There’s just a little bit of movie magic that I’d like to maintain.”

She may not know what the future holds for Gilmore Girls, but the actress would love to work with Amy Sherman-Palladino again.

She may be unsure, but there’s no doubt Lauren Graham would love to return as Lorelai Gilmore.

And the feeling is certainly mutual.

The creator said she believes she will work with Lauren Graham again.

Amy-Sherman Palladino told Rolling Stone:

“The thing about families is they never work their s*** out. They are dysfunctional forever and because of that, it’s the best possible way to come up with stories because you will never solve your problems there.”
