Louis Walsh has revealed that he is hoping to launch an Irish version of Britain’s Got Talent.
Speculation has been rife that the X Factor stalwart is set to leave the hit show after eleven years and speaking at Punchestown Racecourse this week, Walsh confirmed that he is “ready to go”.
The Mayo man said that he is hoping to concentrate on his management career with Shane Filan and Hometown but has discussed the possibility of launching a new Irish talent show with Simon Cowell.
“I would like to do something in Ireland. Like another talent show. I wouldn’t do the Voice of Ireland but I would like to do something new to sign new talent,” he said.
“Something like Ireland’s Got Talent. Something like that. I have talked to Simon about that because he owns the show and he would let me do it. ‘We have lots of talent. We’re a small island and we have amazing talent.”
