Hollywood Star For Downton Abbey Role

We love Downton Abbey as it is but the news that George Clooney is going to appear in an episode makes it even better. The Hollywood star will appear in a special charity episode of the drama for the annual Text Santa fundraising event on ITV. The actor will appear in a Downton Abbey sketch for Text Santa. According to reports this morning, the 53-year-old has already filmed the cameo which sees him play an American wedding guest. His scenes are said to include his Monuments Men co-star Hugh Bonneville and Downton favourite Michelle Dockery. George Clooney apparently filmed scenes with Hugh Bonneville and Michelle Dockery. A spokesperson for ITV confirmed that George would appear in a sketch for the show but would not do a full Christmas episode. Either way, we’ll definitely be tuning in!
