We love Downton Abbey as it is but the news that George Clooney is going to appear in an episode makes it even better.
The Hollywood star will appear in a special charity episode of the drama for the annual Text Santa fundraising event on ITV.
The actor will appear in a Downton Abbey sketch for Text Santa.
According to reports this morning, the 53-year-old has already filmed the cameo which sees him play an American wedding guest.
His scenes are said to include his Monuments Men co-star Hugh Bonneville and Downton favourite Michelle Dockery.

A spokesperson for ITV confirmed that George would appear in a sketch for the show but would not do a full Christmas episode.
