It seems Mr Selfridge will not be appearing on our screens for too much longer as it has been suggested that it could end after the fourth series.
The creator of the ITV drama, Andrew Davies, has revealed to Digital Spy that four could be the magic number for Jeremy Piven’s character.
He explained: “It was always conceived of as four series – that is, if people liked it enough. People seem to love it, so I think we can do the four series”.
But fans will still have plenty to look forward to as the upcoming (third) series is expected to take a different approach.
Davis explained: “He was just such a good boy all through the second series – I’d like him to cut loose in the third”.
Mr Selfridge looks set to end after series four.
