Glenda Gilson lands new Virgin Media Television job after Xposé axing

Glenda Gilson has been unveiled as a showbiz reporter on Ireland AM.

Glenda started her new role on Virgin Media One's flagship daytime show this morning.

"If you tuned into Ireland AM you will know that I am now part of the team, bringing you all things entertainment and showbiz," she wrote on Instagram after the show.

Virgin Media confirmed the news, with a representative telling the Irish Mirror; "Glenda Gilson is reporting and presenting on Ireland AM. She is delighted to be joining the Ireland AM family." It comes after Xposé was cancelled last month. The last episode of the popular entertainment and fashion show aired at the start of October. Glenda was on maternity leave at the time after giving birth to son Bobby. She had been a presenter on the show since it started in 2007. Earlier this month Glenda told the Irish Sun that she didn't know what was next for her.

"Because I've been off for the year, it hasn't hurt me as much because I haven't been in the office but we'll see what comes. "I'm excited to see what's out there, hopefully some new opportunities."
