Sounds a bit dodgy alright.
Ryan Ruckledge became better known recently after he appeared on Big Brother and subsequently fell in love with one of the other housemates, Hughie. They now engaged and appear on various different shows together.
But before we all knew him as a Big Brother contestant, Ryan was once a contestant on The X Factor. He auditioned in 2015 and failed to make it through the boot camp stage.
While we didn’t see him for long on the show he’s now claiming that it could have turned out differently after he received a proposition from one of the producers.
He told the Daily Star, “I was dating one of the producers for the show which no-one knew and I was told that he would be able to get me far in the competition even though I couldn’t sing.
“He begged me to be with him and told me he would get me to the lives because they have an input on what acts go through to what stage.”
A spokesperson for the show told Digital Spy, “Acts are chosen on the merit of their audition in front of the judges and we don’t believe there is any substance to these claims.”
