Together, they all set off on a journey to try and find the real story behind Miguel's family history - and the reason they forbid music.
The movie has already been released in Mexico, where it has been proven to be a hit.
It stars Anthony Gonzalez as Miguel, Gael García Bernal as Hector and Benjamin Bratt as Ernesto de la Cruz.
Renée Victor, Edward James Olmos and Jamie Camil also star in the Pixar film.
Coco also features an original score from the Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino (Rogue One, Up), as well as a track by Oscar winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen).
The film was first pitched by Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich in 2010, when the instant classic Pixar films as released.
It is due to hit screens in North America on November 22, while it will arrive in Irish cinemas in January 2018.
