Jamie Lomas is the latest star to wave goodbye to Albert Square and the Queen Vic.
According to Digital Spy, the actor will finish up this summer after show bosses decided not to renew his one-year contract.
Yesterday Jamie, who plays Jake Stone, urged fans to keep watching as executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has big plans.
He tweeted: “Still loads more amazing stuff to come @bbceastenders so make sure you keep tuned, @dominictc is a legend #watchthisspaceEEbackontopno1 [sic]”.
The 33-year-old joined the cast last summer, as Lauren Branning’s (Jacqueline Jossa) love interest, following his exit form Hollyoaks.
Jamie Lomas will be leaving EastEnders later this year.
