Donegal, The Doctor and Downton Abbey: The Best of The Weekend’s TV

Sci-fi series starring Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, with a guest appearance from Keeley Hawes. The X Factor – TV3 (8.00pm) Judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Louis Walsh and Mel B are back to hear more aspiring singers as they take to the stage in front of an audience at Wembley Arena. Inglourious Basterds – RTÉ Two (9.30pm) Quentin Tarantino flick about an assassination attempt on Hitler. Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Melanie Laurent and Michael Fassbender are among the cast. Sunday… The Imelda May Show – RTÉ One (9.30pm) The singer-songwriter is joined by Sinead O'Connor, Hozier, the Strypes and Paul Brady for plenty of chat and a few live performances. The Sunday Game – RTÉ Two (9.30pm) Des Cahill, Ciaran Whelan, Kevin McStay and Pat Spillane take a look back at the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final between Kerry and Donegal. Downton Abbey – UTV (9.00pm) The period drama returns tonight. Branson decides it’s time to get on with his life while Edith struggles to be away from her child and Jimmy receives some unwanted attention.
