Disney has banned three things from its movies

Makes sense really.

Laura Holland

There are some things that Disney just won’t show.

Disney has created some of the best animations and movies in the last few years. With its vast array of storylines and differing characters it has won over everyone.

But did you know that it purposefully doesn’t show three specific things? Whenever there is a Disney movie made the director has to sign a contract to say that they won’t include any of the following, beheadings, impalement or smoking.

David Lowery, who directed the new Disney film Pete’s Dragon, was speaking with the blog Ain’t It Cool News, when he revealed this news.

He was speaking about a possible remake of Pinocchio but pointed out that it’s impossible when you take these rules into consideration because of a scene which shows Pinocchio smoking.

The original was made released in 1940 so there weren’t anything rules or limitations like there are today.

He said:

“You can’t have smoking anymore! The scene in that movie that had the biggest impact to me was Pinocchio smoking a cigar and turning red.

When you sign a contract with Disney, the things it says your film cannot have are beheadings, impalement or smoking. Those are literally the three things you are not allowed to put into a Disney film.”

So there you have it – you will never be able to see anyone smoke or be impaled or beheaded in any Disney movie.
