Corrie star Jack P Shepherd says a MAJOR character will die in New Year’s shock twist

It’s the time of year when the soaps really start to kick into gear. Yes, as we head toward the festive season, soap writers are pulling out all the stops in preparation for that big Christmas episode. Usually, there’s heartbreak, a lot of tears and sometimes, we bid farewell to some much-loved characters. And it looks like that’s exactly what we should expect from Coronation Street this year. According to longtime Corrie star Jack P Shepherd, a major character will be saying goodbye to the cobbles during a New Year special in what is being called a “shocking plot twist”. While Jack won’t be involved in the deadly storyline after signing a new deal to remain on the show until the end of 2019, he says some of the other stars won’t be so lucky.

“This year I think someone dies at New Year,” he told The Daily Star. “It might be someone to do with the Platt’s. And no, it’s not David’s dog.”

Yes, looks like we should be preparing for the worst this Christmas on Corrie. But how will we get there? Well, things are sure to start building to the big death over the next few weeks and we'll be tuning in to see it unfold.
