We need Bridgerton back in our lives

It feels like we’ve been waiting a lifetime for new episodes of ‘Bridgerton’ to air and it looks like Netflix will be making us wait even longer.

The period drama first aired on the streaming service in 2020 and instantly won over viewers, but is the show at risk of losing its audience?

Fans have been waiting for season 3 of the hit Netflix series to air since March 2022, and they’re getting pretty fed up.

We’ve been given a glimpse at the third season, which focuses on Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton)

However, Netflix has yet to confirm a launch date or released a trailer.

One fan wrote: “With all due respect please release the new season This is absolutely ridiculous that we had to wait a whole year.”

Another said: “My respects but: it’s been almost a year. And NO news. It’s ridiculous and we are angry. At least give us a trailer and the date.”

Fans are pretty disappointed and are about to feel even more so after one of the show’s stars shared a disappointing update.

During the Pride of Britain Awards, ‘Bridgerton’ star Adjoa Andoh said the third season airs in 2024.

She told Hello: “It’s very gratifying because we’ve held our breath for a long time. Because of the way the year’s panned out and that the season’s going to come out next year, the anticipation is going to grow and grow.

“I think people will feel very satisfied,” the actress said.

“If you like the show, you’re going to get more of the same with bells on this season,” she added.

Season three of ‘Bridgerton’ will focus on Colin and Penelope’s love story. It’ll likely follow the book’s storyline, but expect even more drama than before.

It may seem so far away, but it will be worth the wait.
