As traditional as her style may be, fans of the mum-of-three often looked forward to seeing what she was wearing and what designers she opted for.

However, she has decided to stop sharing the details with the public because she wants to take the focus away from her style.

Kate believes the focus should be on her charitable work and the organisations she's involved with rather than what she's wearing.

The Princess of Wales issued the update this week, but the surprising move is for quite a good reason.

A Kensington Palace source confirmed that her perspective on things has changed since her cancer diagnosis.

They said that Kate has "a new perspective on everything" and wants to focus on the "simple yet important things in life."

Speaking about the surprising move, former editor-in-chief of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman praised Kate.

She told Sky News:

"When people have gone through what she's gone through, they should be entitled to be seen how they want to be seen...with a serious mission - not where the focus is on her clothes."

Kate's outfit details will no longer be shared as she slowly returns to her public duties after her cancer treatment.

According to The Sunday Times, Kate wants to focus on what matters going forward.

"There is an absolute feeling that it is not about what the princess is wearing. She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting."

"There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that. But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it’s about the substance," the source stressed.

In January, Kate Middleton confirmed she was in remission after being diagnosed with cancer in early 2024.
