Vanessa Hudgens urged her fans to stop speculating
Actress Vanessa Hudgens has urged her fans to stop claiming she is pregnant.
Fans started speculating about a pregnancy after Hudgens shared clips from her bachelorette weekend.
The main reason people believed she was pregnant was because she was wearing baggy clothes… yes, really.
One fan wrote: “Why does she look pregnant to me or like she’s trying to hide a bump?”
“Are we pregnant?” another asked.
“I thought the same thing! She’s glowing!!! I’m so happy for her,” another said.
The ‘High School Musical’ star was quick to shut down the rumours and asked her fans to stop speculating.
“Not pregnant so y’all can stop,” she wrote.
Fans of the actress said she does not have to tell people if she is pregnant or not. It is her business if she is expecting a baby and she can share the news when and if she’s comfortable.
One fan perfectly summed it up: “Even if she was pregnant it’s really no one business but hers. She is glowing yes but because she is about to marry the love of her life. That would make anyone glow. I’m so happy to see her happy she deserves all the happiness.”
We also need to stop presuming people are pregnant because of their clothes and body shape. People gain weight and don’t always wear tight-fitted clothing. A change in body shape or style doesn’t automatically mean someone is pregnant.
Maybe the actress feels more comfortable in oversized clothes or has decided to change her style.
Can we all agree to stop commenting on women’s bodies, famous or not, and stop speculating about pregnancy?
