The break-up certainly shocked fans of the Love Island couple but some reactions have been extreme.

Tommy Fury was recently verbally abused in a park by members of the public.

Cheating allegations have been circulating since Molly-Mae issued her emotional statement about their split. Some fans have been slating Fury over the allegations, but one confronted him about it in a park.

Fury was reportedly spending time with his daughter Bambi when one woman walked over to him and yelled 'cheating scumbag' in his face.

The dad is now hiring additional security following the incident.

An insider told The Sun: "Molly-Mae and Tommy have both got security watching over them.

"It sounds extreme but there has been a massive public reaction to their split. Molly-Mae’s fans are very angry with Tommy and he has been heckled in public.

"Given they have a young daughter, neither of them are taking any chances," they explained.

Molly and Tommy revealed they ended their relationship after five years last week.

Molly asked her fans to respect her privacy during this heartbreaking time.

She confirmed she'll be taking a break from social media and focusing on her daughter Bambi as she adjusts to life after the heartbreaking split.

The couple have not explained why their relationship ended.
