Ireland AM's Tommy Bowe was left stunned after being hilariously called out by a guest

The talk show hosts spoke with the Strictly Come Dancing judge, Anton Du Beke, about his upcoming show in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre with Giovanni Pernice.

Their interview started in laughs, as Du Beke joked he was naked below the waist.

But what made the Strictly Come Dancing judge burst into laughter was when Bowe mispronounced Giovanni's name.

"You and your old partner on the show, Giovanni Pierce, are coming for a show in the Bord Gáis," Bowe said.

Despite Anton Du Beke bursting into laughter, the former rugby star hadn't realised he said Pierce instead of Pernice, Bowe continued to ask another question:

"Tell us, like because you're a judge now, you don't need to be doing dancing anymore?"

Du Beke replied: "Aw, but I love it... with Giovanni Pierce."

"I'm also going to be with Giovanni Pernice as well," he added.

Realising he had mispronounced the name, the co-host grabbed his notes and said:

"It is spelt Pierce, isn't it?"

O'Connell, with her hand over her face, responded, "No, no."

At least the Giovanni bit was spelled right, Bowe joked, moving past the mistake, to which Du Beke added:

"That's show business, baby."

Towards the end of the entertaining interview, Bowe mentioned the tour dates, adding in:

"It is Anton and Giovanni, not Pierce, together again."

To which Anton Du Beke cheekily responded: "He sadly couldn't make it."

"Pierce Brosnan is going to come along and make a special appearance," Bowe hilariously added.

"Thanks so much for joining us, a good laugh as always," Bowe concluded.

As the co-hosts introduced the next segment of the show, both laughing as Tommy added:

"Coming up, we're going to be in the kitchen making a summer vegetable tart. What could go wrong there this morning?"
