‘I wish we were still close’ – Tia Mowry’s heartbreak over fallout with sister

"I feel and wish that my sister and I were close"

The twin sisters are best-known for their roles in the TV programme, Sister Sister, which aired back in the nineties. While they were inseparable on the show, it seems things have changed over the years.

The 46-year-old actress opened up in her WE TV series Tia Mowry: My Next Act, and spoke about her current relationship with her sister as well as her divorce.

“I came into this world with a twin and right after that, I went into a 22-year relationship so I have never been alone in my life.

“It has been quite a journey,” she said in the teaser on YouTube.

“Being alone has been the most challenging part of my divorce,” she went on to say. “It’s times like these when I feel and wish that my sister and I were close and I could pick up the phone and call her.

“But that’s just not where we are right now.”

Fans were shocked to hear that the sisters weren’t on speaking terms, with one taking to the YouTube comment section to say: 

“Well dang, that made my heart sink to know you and Tamera are not close like ya’ll used to be.”

Another added: “It’s sad her & her sister are not close but I hope they are now. I’m excited for the show.”
