Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy Dies Of Lung Disease Aged 83

Leonard Nimoy has passed away aged 83 following a battle with lung disease. The actor, who became famous for his role as Spock in Star Trek, had been hospitalised earlier in the week due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and The New York Times is now reporting that he has died. According to the newspaper, Nimoy's wife Susan confirmed the news today and tributes have began to be paid to the star online. The star had previously attributed the disease to years of smoking, despite having given up the habit three decades earlier.
