Ryanair has responded to Brian McFadden’s recent Twitter rant about their extra charges.

The former Westlife star took to the social media site after the budget airline tried to charge him £150 at Liverpool airport.

The singer was trying to get to Spain to play golf.

According to reports he was told that he would need to pay £70 to print his boarding pass along with an extra £80 for overweight luggage.

Not content with this McFadden walked away and decided to take a train to London where he then flew out to Spain for his game of golf.

He also vented his frustration on Twitter: “had so much i wanted to say about my ryanair experience today but ill keep it simple. MICHAEL O LEARY you’re a scumbag who exploits [sic]”.

 His Twitter rant in full.

But he’s not the only one to have had his say as Ryanair has now addressed the incident by issuing a sarcastic response according to the Daily Mail.

Spokesman Robin Kiely told them: “We’re surprised that Mr McFadden, having agreed to print his boarding card, couldn’t manage this super-complex task, which is accomplished daily by over 80m passengers annually.”
