While they may be against it, we would love nothing more than to see the Ryan family on our screens!

The Ryan sisters, Lottie, 38, Bonnie, 30, and Babette, 23, have recently opened up about the reason their family has opted against having their own reality TV show.

The sisters are three of five children of the late Gerry Ryan and his ex-wife Morah; the girls have two brothers, Rex, 33, and Elliott, 27.

During an interview with the Irish Independent, the girls revealed that they have, in the past, turned down offers to reality TV shows that would star their families.

Lottie and Bonnie are the eldest of the sisters, and both work in the public eye.

During an interview with the Irish Independent, Lottie, who works in television and radio presenting as well as co-hosting the parenting podcast ‘Jen & Lottie do… Parenting’, with Jennifer Zamparelli, opened up about why they are against moving into reality TV.

“It was a very conscious decision. We’ve always very consciously not wanted to do family stuff.”

“There’s always been a perception of ‘The Ryans’. And it’s a narrative we always haven’t had control of. Our way of taking control of it was probably to remove ourselves from it.”

“So, it was a very conscious decision that we never entertained family things, we turned down reality TV shows as a family,” Lottie added.

Meanwhile, Bonnie, who works as a fashion and beauty influencer and makeup artist, echoed her elder sister’s words, saying that it was about establishing themselves individually.

“It was kind of to create, I guess, our own identities. That it wasn’t just seen as this unit—that we all have our own identities, and we all do our own thing.”

Bonnie revealed on her Instagram that the photoshoot for the interview was the first time the four family members have done something like this together.

“We have never done a magazine shoot or interview together , so this is very special and I’m very grateful they came out in force to support me,” she wrote.
