Back in 2011, Beyonce rocked the Glastonbury stage, a move which received a huge amount of criticism as the festival had always been considered essentially a rock event. Then again, Beyonce did rock that stage, despite the criticism, and now the organisers of Glasto seem to be approaching artists who are similar to the diva.

It has been rumoured that Mariah Carey is currently in talks to headline Glastonbury 2013. According to London’s Evening Standard, a source has said that the singer has been approached and that both parties are interested in the diva headlining the event.

Other acts that have been linked to the main stage this year include The Rolling Stones, The Arctic Monkeys and Rihanna, however none have been confirmed to date according to Digital Spy.

If the singer is confirmed, she will headline the Pyramid Stage during the weekend of June 28th to 30th.

Glastonbury will not reveal their line-up until closer to the festival dates.

Let’s just remind ourselves of Beyonce… Any excuse!
