Star of RTÉ‘s Clean Break, Dermot Murphy, has landed a big break in the UK.

He has just been signed to a major talent agency, United Agents. Other Irish stars signed up to United include, Jamie Dornan, Sarah Greene and Caoilfhionn Dunne, alongside international stars Cara Delevingne (acting), Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy.

About joining the agency Dermot says, “To be associated with their level of work and talent is incredible. They have world class names over there, I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Speaking about his most recent role in RTÉ‘s Clean Break he says, “Playing Snowy was definitely interesting. You don’t come across a part like that every day, you know, he’s complicated. He’s a bit messed up, which is always fun to do.”

He continues, “Working on a production of that size is incredible really. You’re working alongside actors you grew up watching, people like Marie Mullen, Sean McGinley. Even just showing up on set, you’re constantly learning.”

Dermot has already signed up to play the lead role in the Irish indie feature, The Drummer and the Goalkeeper, so it looks like it’s going to be an exciting start of a huge career for the star.
