“Our Hearts Are Heavy” – Pierce Brosnan Devastated By Loss Of Daughter

Pierce Brosnan’s daughter Charlotte has sadly passed away following a three-year battle with ovarian cancer.

The 42-year-old died on Friday from the same disease which claimed her mother Cassandra’s life. She was surrounded by her family.

Brosnan said last night: “On June 28 my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas and brothers Christopher and Sean.”

He added: “Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl.

“We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences.”

The James Bond star adopted Charlotte back in 1986 when her biological father Dermot Harris passed away.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Alex Smith and her two children, 15-year-old Isabella and eight-year-old Lucas.
