In June 2011, two men were arrested near the home of singer Joss Stone in Devon after neighbours reported to police that the pair was acting suspiciously. Following their arrest, the police discovered the men were planning to murder the singer and dump her body in a river.

The suspects, Junior Bradshaw, 32 and Kevin Liverpool, 35, are currently standing trial in London for the murder plot involving the singer. Grisly details began to emerge during the course of the trial, including the fact that the pair had planned to behead the singer before throwing her body in the river.

The police discovered the men were carrying a samurai sword, a hammer, knives, black bags and gloves following their arrest. They also discovered several handwritten notes which cited their plans with sections which read “Jocelyn RIP” and “Once Jocelyn’s dead… find a river to dump her.”

According to the trial, the pair were annoyed that Joss had been invited to the wedding of Kate and William back in 2011. Bradshaw and Liverpool were initially charged with possession of offensive weapons, but this was later upgraded to conspiracy to murder and kidnap.

Stone has revealed that she only became aware of the plot when police arrived at her house to warn her.

The trial continues in London.
