Jake Owen And Wife Announce Divorce After Three Years of Marriage

Country star Jake Owen and his wife Lacey Buchanan have announced that they are to go their separate ways after three years of marriage.  Jake took to Twitter this week to post a heartfelt statement, writing: "This is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life".

The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Pearl, and in the statement the 33-year-old emphasises their plans to "make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents". Jake made the announcement on Twitter. The pair married in 2012 after a one month engagement - however, Jake reported problems in the relationship in recent times. Speaking on America's Morning Show recently, the singer said: "My wife and I, for the last few months, have really been having a hard time and struggling with communication, and literally talking about divorce and all kinds of stuff." The pair are parents to three-year-old Olive.  The couple first met when Lacey starred in Jake's Eight Second Ride music video in 2006.
