Miriam Mullins says it isn't easy to discuss her relationship

The social media star said she's been hesitant to speak about her personal life online because she is "berated" with comments about her relationship.

She explained why she's been absent:

"Honestly, anytime I come on the internet, I get flipping berated, with messages and comments about my relationship, and honestly, I’m just not ready to talk about it yet.

"I will soon. Like, I promise you, I will soon. But there’s just a lot going on at the moment, and it’s just been a bit hard, and I’m just trying to, like, navigate myself and get back to myself," Miriam explained.

She said she has found it hard to post online because she doesn't want to "be fake on the internet."

Miriam got engaged to long-term partner Tiaan Heyns last April but has been spotted without her engagement ring.

The influencer stopped posting about her relationship online, but is constantly asked about it.

"It’s just been really hard to come on and post videos and be authentic. I can’t be fake on the internet," she said.

The influencer said if she isn't in a good head space or good mood then she won't post online.

"Unless it’s like an ad or something that I have to post, of course, you know, you have to just grin and bear it sometimes.

Miriam admitted that she doesn't want to be negative online.

However, she will open up about her personal life when she's "more ready and able."
